My name is Jakee but you can call me JZ. ☺️

I'm a "jackie of all trades" creative designer, photographer, motion graphics artist & video pro. I graduated from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts Photography and Imaging Dept in 2010 and spent over a decade hustling in NYC at some BIG companies like LinkedIn and iHeart Media and AECOM.

I went freelance fulltime in 2018 and moved to Burlington, Vermont in 2019 with my super rad cats named Lil' Swerve and Nug, we love living in the mountains but being able to have clients all over the world. Currently I support mainly clients in the Spiritual and Wellness industries, including the Jewish Community: Beineinu, the Christian Yoga Collective: The Abbey, and YouTube and TikTok sensation: astrologer Maren Altman. I am currently accepting new clients and actively looking to hire contractors as well. 

I teach yoga and meditation and weave those practices and teachings into my design work.

I’m into bright colors, bold fonts, & white space. I'm into deep breaths and finding joy in every single day. I want to create things that make people happy. I want to co-create aligned design and magic together. 

When I'm not on my mac - you can find me on my yoga mat, under a tree, drinking chai, chasing light, chanting mantras & making my friends stop the car to take a photo. <3

Support 20+ global editors with all art direction, design, video, photo and motion graphic needs for Editorial driven projects and initiatives. Responsible for photo editing, research, and curation of images on LinkedIn Influencer, Editor and member posts. Concept and design editorial content series, branding and promotional materials including info-graphics and SlideShare/ powerpoint decks. Involved in cross-team projects involving photos and design on the entire platform including visuals for daily content emails and all Influencer related promotions , newsletters and Editorially driven lists.  2nd shooter as well as graphics post-production for LinkedIn video/studio productions as well as VIP still photography of Influencers, studio guests and also special events. Manage stock image subscriptions with Purchasing and Procurement as well as manage/educate editors on how to use stock photo libraries, as well as powerpoint & photoshop templates.

Support the LinkedIn Editorial team with all art direction, design, photo and motion graphic needs. Responsible for photo editing, research, and curation of images on LinkedIn Influencer posts. Concept and design monthly editorial series, branding and promotional materials including info-graphics and SlideShare decks. Involved in cross-team projects involving photos and design on the entire platform including visuals for daily content emails and all Influencer related promotions and newsletters. Occasional wire-framing and user experience design for editorial platform improvement. Negotiate contracts with stock photo agencies and other vendors. VIP photography of Influencers and special events. Design and execute special projects/ events including polaroid wall installation and posters and LinkedIn video/studio productions.

Graphics & Video Editor

Worked with National sales and marketing teams and VP of Marketing to create well designed and effective PowerPoint presentations and sales decks. Designed templates and Info-Graphics for presentations.  Designed premiums including, cups, tins, posters, banners. Designed print ads for Wall Street Journal and other national publication.  Responsible for printing special projects including ticket vouchers, booklets, book-wraps, custom posters and stickers etc. Created sales mocks of page takeovers, digital ads, campaigns, sweepstakes and also bus/car wraps, on site mockups for advertisers etc. On hand to assist with all design needs for Clear Channel Media and iHeartRadio.
