Maria Mikkonen

Maria Mikkonen is a versatile professional with a strong academic background in international business, design, and technology. Currently, she is pursuing her Doctor of Science in Technology degree while working as a researcher at Aalto Design Factory, focusing on the DesignBites research project. This project analyzes creative food and beverage ventures in their internationalization efforts, with a focus on co-creation, collaboration, experimentation, product development, and the use of design and storytelling.

She has worked at companies such as Rovio Entertainment, Suunto Oy, and Formdesign Helsinki Oy. Additionally, Maria has experience as a photographer and content producer, co-founding TwentyKnots Oy, an outdoors experience company.
