AnnMarie Thomas

AnnMarie Thomas is a highly educated individual with a diverse academic background. She pursued her Bachelor's degree in Ocean Engineering with a minor in Music at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Furthering her studies, AnnMarie obtained a Master's degree and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Caltech. She also holds a Professional Certificate in Sustainable Design from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and a Post-Doctoral Degree in Management & Marketing from the University of Florida - Warrington College of Business.

Currently, AnnMarie Thomas serves as a Professor at the School of Engineering and Opus College of Business at the University of St. Thomas. She has previously held various roles in reputable organizations such as being a member of the GeoTech Center- Action Council and a Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council. AnnMarie was also the Executive Director and Co-Founder of OK Go Sandbox, as well as the Director/Founder of the Playful Learning Lab at the University of St. Thomas. Additionally, she has undertaken positions as the Founding Executive Director at Maker Ed and as a Faculty member at the Art Center College of Design.

AnnMarie Thomas has contributed to the academic and professional sphere through her engagement as a Keynote Speaker and Workshop leader at SPEAKING.com Speakers Bureau / Speaker Management. Her dedication to research and innovation was evident during her time as an Intern at the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute (MBARI) in the AUV Lab.

With her extensive academic qualifications and diverse work experience in engineering, design, education, and management, AnnMarie Thomas continues to make significant contributions to her field and inspire others through her roles in academia and various organizations.
