Ben Blackshear

Ben Blackshear is a highly educated and experienced GIS Program Manager and Geographic Consultant in the field of environmental policy. With a Bachelor of Arts in Geography and Environmental Policy from Middlebury College, he has gained a broad range of expertise and skills, including GIS solutions and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) development. From Research Associate at ThinkBrooklyn to Senior GIS Specialist at NYC Department of Parks & Recreation and to his latest designation as a GIS Program Manager at San Francisco Public Utilities Commission, Ben has worked across various organizations and held multiple roles, significantly contributing to the organization's growth and development.

In his free time, Ben loves to work on GIS solutions as a freelancer for various projects. His interests include sustainable transport, ecological conservation, and enhancing urban environments with technological advancements. He has previously worked as a GIS Intern at Sunrise Orchards and a Farmhand at Elmer Farm, further displaying his interest in environmental conservation.
