Selenium Automation Engineer

The Sage 100 product is a complex accounting platform that allows small to medium sized businesses to keep track of their finances.

My job was writing automation software in C# to test successive builds of the Sage 100 product. My software ran on 8 virtual machines running all current versions of Windows. My code was then committed to the company repository. Each automation project was completed in two week sprints using scrum methodology. In addition to the assigned tasks I also created DOS Batch scripts to speed up the testing procedure on the virtual machines. My DOS scripts turned a one hour task into a 5 minute task.

Software Automation Engineer

Each time Broadcom sells a chip to a customer like Apple or Samsung they are required to submit reports which contain detailed calculations. My job was compiling these reports and ensuring their accuracy. This required enormous attention to detail as there were hundreds of calculations that had to be verified. To ensure nothing was overlooked I created extensive check sheets and custom excel functions. I improved work flow of not only myself but my team by writing a VBA Excel script which automated a 30 minute task and reduced it to a single button click.
