B. Cross

Dr. B. Cross is a research manager at the Connected Learning Lab at UCI, offering academic expertise and program management support for various grant-funded research projects. Current research focuses on harnessing youth social media for mental health support and exploring the educational impacts of eSports participation.

With a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of California, Irvine, and a Master's degree in Human Development/Cultural Psychology from the University of Chicago, Dr. Cross combines teaching and research experience in terrorism, political violence, radicalization, protest movements, protest policing, and the influence of new technologies on protest, security, and organizations.

Previously serving as an Associate Professor and department chair at Webster University and a visiting faculty member in the Criminology department at the University of South Florida, Dr. Cross also excels in educational and curricular development, instruction, and assessment from the seminar to the program level.
