Austin Dickson
CEO at the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country
Austin Dickson is the CEO of the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country, overseeing asset management, development, grantmaking, and partnerships, with the Foundation annually awarding over $4 million to nonprofits in Central Texas.
Before his current role, Austin gained extensive experience in Atlanta, Georgia, leading various nonprofits and working with the Atlanta community foundation, actively participating in civic life and serving on multiple nonprofit boards, earning recognition and awards for his contributions.
As a Waco, Texas, native and graduate of TCU, Austin also has a background in academia, having taught philosophy at Clayton State University from 2008 to 2016 and nonprofit leadership at Emory University since 2017.
In 2019, Austin was appointed by the Texas Governor to the Upper Guadalupe River Authority’s Board of Directors and is involved with the Community Foundations National Standards Board, currently residing near Kerrville, Texas.
