Asish Thakur is a prominent figure in Nepal's educational and entrepreneurial landscape, currently serving as a Sectoral Working Group Member for Project CREATE Jobs since August 2023. This project aims to enhance employment and entrepreneurship opportunities through a collaborative technology ecosystem.13
Thakur is also the Chairman and Executive Director of Glocal Pvt. Ltd., a company he founded to bridge the gap between education and employability in Nepal. Under his leadership, Glocal has initiated various programs, including Glocal Teen Hero, which recognizes and appreciates the achievements of teenagers in Nepal, and Glocal After School, aimed at skill development and empowerment for youth.12
He holds a degree in Sustainable Development from Kathmandu University and an undergraduate degree in Business Administration.
