Ashmeet Sidana is an American businessman, entrepreneur, and venture capitalist, serving as the Founder, Chief Engineer, and Managing Partner of Engineering Capital. He has a robust educational background, holding a B.Sc. from the University of Southern California, an M.Sc. in Computer Science from Stanford University, and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Career Highlights
Sidana began his career at Hewlett Packard and later worked at Silicon Graphics as an engineer. He founded Sidana Systems, where he served as CEO until its acquisition by Doclinx. After that, he held a significant role at VMware, managing product development for their flagship product, ESX Server.
In 2015, he established Engineering Capital, focusing on early-stage investments in infrastructure technology startups. His initial fund raised $32 million, followed by a second fund of $50 million.
