Michael Pachos is the Head of East Coast and Managing Director at Samsung Ventures America, a position he has held since September 2019. He joined Samsung in 2008, initially working in the Global Strategy Group, and transitioned to Samsung Ventures in 2009. Over the years, he has accumulated extensive experience in venture capital and corporate development, focusing on investments in various sectors including semiconductors and technology startups.

Pachos has a notable background in engineering and finance, holding a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis and an MBA from The Wharton School. His career includes significant roles at Intel, where he worked as a computer architect on Itanium processors, and co-founding a network security startup, Global Velocity. He has also been involved in numerous investments and board memberships across various technology companies.1 2 3

In addition to his professional pursuits, Pachos is known for his leadership and mentoring abilities within the venture capital community, having been the first foreigner to join Samsung Ventures' headquarters in Korea.2
