HR Business Partner

Sr. HRBP for three business lines within The Standard.

The Standard

- Lead all facets of PeaceHealth Oregon’s Human Resources department. Responsible for a staff of ten HR professionals who served over five thousand employees and employed physicians at three hospitals and eight outpatient medical offices.
- Oversee all employee, labor and physician relations.
- Manage performance and development of ten Human Resources staff.
- Participate and lead corporate performance management programs. 
- HR program and project management, including coordination across PeaceHealth communities in Oregon, Washington and Alaska.
- Implementation of change initiatives and departmental re-organizations.
- Lead or oversee labor negotiations with unions.

PeaceHealth

Director of Human Resources

- Managed employee and labor relations support for the Oregon Region, with responsibility for and/or approval of significant actions.
- Involved in the transition to the new Human Resources delivery model.  This included work on the selection process for the Human Resources Partner Organization, and planning for the implementation of the future model.
- Provided hands on support for employee relations issues involving all levels of PeaceHealth employees.
- Led the hiring process for HR positions supporting the Oregon Region.
- Participated as a member of the PeaceHealth Oregon Human Resources leadership team.

Employee Relations Manager

- Supported all levels of PeaceHealth Oregon management and employees for employee relations, across all business lines and locations, covering all major employee categories.  
- Supported day-to-day labor relations for three years, requiring knowledge of bargaining unit contracts. Scope of work included resolving grievances and pay disputes, leading unit reorganizations, interpreting and applying contract language for both management and employees, and supporting managers in all areas of progressive discipline. 
- Managed BOLI and Oregon State Board of Nursing subpoena responses, including investigating areas of concern, gathering and organizing documentation under subpoena, and working with outside counsel when needed.
- Multiple other duties including (but not limited to): co-designed and created web resources for managers, participated on the design/implementation team for the first PeaceHealth Leadership Day, coordinated Organizational Health surveys, managed Federal EEOC and Vets reporting, delivered management training, and coordinated on-site EAP training for management.

Sr. Employee & Labor Relations

- Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) within two business groups. Acted as the broker for all human resource needs in support of global business groups.  
- Led Intel’s Organizational Capability planning and analysis programs for assigned support businesses.   
- Supported all U.S. Employee Relations investigations from initial complaint through resolution.
- Managed Intel’s employee review process for two business units.  This involved training managers, scheduling employee review sessions, monitoring adherence to Intel guidelines, guiding leaders on salary/stock increases, and compiling data for the Compensation and Benefits department.
- Participated in cross-functional Intel HR teams on a wide variety of projects, ranging from diversity recruiting and globalization expansion processes to payroll tools/processes.  
- Consulted with Managers on all other HR generalist services/areas such as: Compensation & Benefits, Staffing, Performance Management, Employee Discipline/Corrective Action, Employee Recognition, Wage and Employment Law, Training & Development, and other similar topics.
