Anthony Vitarelli

Anthony Vitarelli is a highly accomplished lawyer with a wealth of legal and compliance experience. He holds a J.D. from Yale Law School and an A.B. in Public Policy and Economics from Duke University. Currently, he is the Managing Director, Chief Operating Officer for Legal & Compliance at BlackRock, where he is responsible for managing the legal and compliance operations of the company.

Prior to joining BlackRock, Vitarelli served as Counselor to the General Counsel and Senior Advisor to the Secretary at the U.S. Department of the Treasury. He has also served as President & General Counsel at Shogun Enterprises Inc. and has held various other legal positions, including working as a Law Clerk to Justices David H. Souter (ret.) and Stephen G. Breyer at the Supreme Court of the United States.

Vitarelli's expertise spans across legal and compliance matters related to financial institutions and corporations. He has also been a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and has worked at Covington & Burling and the U.S. Department of Justice.
