Anne Brown is a highly educated individual with a diverse academic background. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Comparative Literature from the University of Arkansas, a degree in American Studies from New York University, a degree in English Literature from Rice University, and a Master of Arts in English and History from Texas State University.
Anne has a notable professional history, having been involved in various leadership roles within the arts and academic sector. She is the owner of The Arts Company and The Arts Company Press. Previously, she served as the Executive Director at the Metro Nashville Arts Commission, the Nashville Institute for the Arts, and the Nashville University Center. Anne also held the position of Director of Development and Information at the Tennessee Arts Commission and has taken on teaching roles at different Nashville universities.
