Anish Acharya is a General Partner at Andreessen Horowitz, a prominent venture capital firm. He joined Andreessen Horowitz in August 2019 and focuses primarily on investments in fintech and consumer sectors.12 Before joining Andreessen Horowitz, Acharya held significant roles at Credit Karma, including General Manager of Core Consumer and General Manager of U.S. Card. He joined Credit Karma following the acquisition of his startup, Snowball, which was a notifications startup he founded.45
Acharya has a background in entrepreneurship and venture investment, having founded SocialDeck, a social-gaming company acquired by Google in 2010. He then worked on mobile products and invested at Google Ventures.45 He holds a BASC degree from the University of Waterloo.1
In his role at Andreessen Horowitz, Acharya is known for his interest in investing in innovative and unconventional products, particularly in the realm of consumer AI, emphasizing creativity, productivity, and connection as key areas of growth in the AI-powered world.36
