Andy Montgomery is a seasoned design professional with almost 20 years of experience, having managed design projects for various teams ranging from small startups to Fortune 500 companies.

He began his career as a design consultant at agencies and later established his own design studio, contributing to the success of multiple startups and renowned brands like PUMA, Google, HP, Unilever, World Wildlife Fund, Time Life, Shure Microphones, and Redbox.

With a unique background in architecture and a degree in computer science, Andy blends systems thinking with user-centric design to create exceptional user experiences. He advocates for a design-centric culture within organizations, fostering collaboration across teams to develop meaningful user and brand interactions.

Andy Montgomery's educational background includes studies in Computer Science, English, and Philosophy with a BA from Covenant College, and a Certificate in Architecture from the DISCO Program at Harvard University Graduate School of Design.

Throughout his professional journey, Andy has held key positions such as Head of Design at Capital in Square, VP of Design at Recurly Inc., Director of User Experience at Recurly Inc., Senior User Experience Designer at Viget Labs, Interactive Systems Developer at Tricycle Inc, Product Manager / UX Designer / Co-founder at Medium, and Senior Web Designer at ThreeHD.

Outside of work, Andy is an avid outdoor enthusiast engaging in activities like running, cycling, backpacking, and skiing in the mountainous regions of the western states.
