Andrew Dean

Andrew Dean is the Head of Global Performance & Monitoring at Lightsource bp, a role he has held since February 2021. In this position, he is responsible for overseeing performance monitoring, reporting, and analysis for Lightsource's global solar fleet, which totals 2.8 GW across more than 150 sites in countries including the UK, US, Spain, and Australia. He has established a new Global Performance & Monitoring function that includes a team of 16 performance engineers and analysts. Additionally, Dean leads the implementation of a new Advanced Solar Analytics software platform, a significant investment aimed at enhancing data and analytics capabilities within the company.12

Before becoming Head of Global Performance & Monitoring, Dean held various roles at Lightsource bp, including Head of Client Relations & Performance for Operations & Maintenance and Strategy Manager. His background also includes experience at The Boston Consulting Group and a strong academic record, having earned an MBA with distinction from London Business School and a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Queen's University.1
