Andrew Colas

Andrew Colas is the President and CEO of Colas Construction Inc., a family-owned commercial construction company based in Portland, Oregon.12 He formally joined the company in June 1999 and has been serving as CEO since June 2003.1 Andrew became President of Colas Construction in September 2006.12

Prior to his leadership role at Colas Construction, Andrew worked as a Project Manager at West-Trend Construction, Inc. from June 2004 to September 2006.1

Andrew Colas received his education at the University of Oregon, where he studied Business with a focus on Finance and Marketing from 1999 to 2004.12

Under Andrew's leadership, Colas Construction has grown into one of the largest Black-owned construction companies in Oregon, the Pacific Northwest, and the West Coast.3 The company specializes in civic projects, education, housing, and healthcare construction.45

Andrew is committed to promoting diversity and inclusion in the construction industry. He actively works to provide opportunities for people of color and mentors youth through initiatives like the Blueprint Foundation.3 His vision for the company includes "remapping what construction can and should be" and pushing the industry towards greater equity and inclusivity.3
