Andrei Herasimchuk

Andrei Herasimchuk is a highly accomplished Principal Product Designer at Booking.com, with a rich background in design and technology spanning over three decades.

He started his career as a founding member of Specular International, a pioneering 3D Macintosh software company, where he developed innovative products like Specular Collage, an early consumer image compositing software.

Andrei's exceptional work at Specular caught the attention of Adobe Systems, leading him to Silicon Valley in 1995 to work on Photoshop and subsequently becoming the lead interface designer for Adobe's professional publishing products.

After briefly venturing into web development during the dot-com era, Andrei returned to Adobe in 2002 to lead the development of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom, a project that involved deep collaboration with renowned photographers to shape the product.

In 2004, Andrei co-founded Involution Studios, where as Chief Design Officer, he oversaw design projects for high-profile clients such as Microsoft, Oracle, and Yahoo! among others.

His career then saw him taking on significant roles at major tech companies like Yahoo!, Twitter, and currently Booking.com, where he continues to excel in product design on a global scale.

Throughout his career, Andrei has demonstrated expertise in pixel-perfect design, prototyping, interface architecture, storytelling, branding, and managing large design teams, making him a highly sought-after professional in the field of design.

He is currently based in Amsterdam, Europe, and remains passionate about design, always open to engaging in discussions on various design-related topics.
