Andrea Gardiner
Andrea Gardiner is a seasoned entrepreneur, investment banker, and corporate director with a passion for scaling disruptive technology businesses in Australia. She is the founder, CEO, and CIO of Jelix Ventures, a syndicated angel investment network that connects daring technology founders with investors seeking strong returns on their investment. Andrea's success in building a strong portfolio of early and growth stage businesses has been attributed to her unique access to deal flows via Innovation Bay and strong connections in the start-up sector. The company leverages her mentorship, support, and decades-long experience to scale new businesses and penetrate traditional markets.
Prior to founding Jelix Ventures, Andrea worked as an associate director for the International Division of the Bank of Scotland, where she initiated, structured, and scaled a profitable cross-border gearing loan business that returned struggling Asian offices to profitability. She later joined Lehman Brothers, where she advised retail banks and government treasuries on global debt capital markets and syndicated issues of MTNs.
Andrea is a graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has served as a board member for a plethora of companies in various industries, such as Old Hundred, Sinorbis, tagSpace, Stone & Chalk, and Viostream. With a degree in Law, Behavioral Science, and Social Work, she has a natural entrepreneurial spirit that has driven her to succeed in her personal ventures.
