    Andrea Coronetti is a passionate and driven PhD Candidate at CERN and the University of Jyvaskyla, specializing in radiation hardness assurance for electronics within the EU Marie-Curie ITN program RADSAGA.

    His primary focus revolves around establishing guidelines and developing tools to facilitate the implementation of radiation testing methodologies for systems based on commercial off-the-shelf components (COTS).

    Before pursuing his current research, Andrea completed an Advanced Master's degree in Space Systems Engineering at ISAE-Supaero in Toulouse, where he contributed to a project exploring the feasibility of utilizing a mini-magnetosphere as a shielding mechanism against space radiation in human deep space habitats aboard Mars transfer vehicles.

    Andrea possesses a strong educational background, having studied Aerospace Engineering for his Bachelor of Engineering at Polimi, Physics for his Doctor of Philosophy at the University of Jyvaskyla, and having undertaken studies at UC Irvine as well.

    Throughout his academic and professional journey, Andrea has held roles at reputable organizations such as CERN as a PHD Candidate, ISAE-Supaero as a Graduate Student, UC Irvine as a Research Scholar, and Politecnico di Milano as a Student.
