David Cotter

David Cotter is an academic, educator, and professional musician known for his global performances and presentations in 14 countries. He maintains a private teaching practice with international students and is currently a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Cambridge.

His academic journey includes a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Music, an MPhil in Music Studies from the University of Cambridge, and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Music with First Class Honours from the University of Durham.

He has also contributed as an educator, website intern, DLHE caller, and representative for different committees at the university.

With a rich background in music, David has excelled as a professional musician, performing freelance and previously holding roles like President of the New Art Music Ensemble (NAME) at Durham University. He has showcased his talents as a classical guitarist and clarinetist while serving as President and Conductor during his time at Durham University.
