Dr. Amy Harris is an enthusiastic data professional with a Ph.D. in Business Administration - MIS from The University of Memphis. She is passionate about utilizing data for creating insightful solutions, from data preparation to visualization and dashboard development. Currently serving as an Associate Professor of Business Intelligence & Analytics at MTSU, Amy is also actively involved as the VP of Women in Technology of Tennessee, collaborating with the Nashville Technology Council, and organizing the Nashville Analytics Summit annually. Through her research publications, curriculum enhancements at MTSU, and presentations at tech conferences and community events, she aims to empower the tech community with valuable data for informed decision-making. Amy advocates for diversity and inclusivity in the tech industry, believing that varied perspectives lead to innovative solutions that cater to a broader audience. With a strong educational background including an MS in Computer Information Systems from MTSU and a BA in Communications/Music from Mississippi University for Women, Amy brings a wealth of experience from her roles in academia, research, and various leadership positions in organizations such as FedEx, Democratic Parties, and private companies.
