Amit R Patel

Amit Patel is the Co-Founder and CEO of Murata Vios (formerly Vios Medical), a medical technology company that develops patient-monitoring sensors and software.34 He was appointed to serve a one-year term on the General Board of the YMCA of the North (also known as YMCA of the Greater Twin Cities) as a community board representative for the St. Paul Eastside YMCA Community Board in 2020.1

Patel has a background in healthcare technology and entrepreneurship. He holds a B.Bm.E. cum laude in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and an MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business.3 Prior to founding Vios Medical, he worked at HeartFlow overseeing strategy and clinical studies in Europe, and was also part of Medtronic's Corporate Development group.2

Under Patel's leadership, Vios Medical developed a monitoring system designed to optimize patient management through the continuum of care. The company was acquired by Murata Manufacturing Co. Ltd. in October 2017, with Patel continuing as CEO of the renamed Murata Vios.4

In addition to his role at Murata Vios and his board position at the YMCA, Patel is also an investor and advisor for Great North Labs.3
