Amit Anand

Amit Anand is a prominent figure in the venture capital landscape, serving as the Founding Partner and Managing Director of Jungle Ventures, which is recognized as Singapore's largest independent venture capital firm. Under his leadership, the firm has significantly expanded, managing over $1 billion in assets—a remarkable 100-fold increase since its inception in 2010. Anand has played a crucial role in nurturing early-stage companies, having guided several startups to unicorn status, including Moglix, Kredivo Group, Livspace, and Builder.ai.123

In June 2023, Amit was accepted into the Aspen Finance Leaders Fellowship, becoming the first fellow from the venture capital community in Singapore and the broader India & Southeast Asia region. He has held various leadership roles, including Vice Chairman of the Business Angels Network of Southeast Asia (BANSEA) and has worked with numerous founding teams across India, Indonesia, and Vietnam.235 Additionally, he is a Kauffman Fellow and has served on advisory councils related to ethical AI use in Singapore.35

Anand's educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in computers from Mumbai University and an advanced postgraduate program from the National Centre for Software Technology in India.5 His commitment to fostering innovation and supporting entrepreneurs positions him as a key player in shaping the future of venture capital in Asia.
