Amelia Swan

Amelia Swan is an accomplished professional with a diverse educational background and extensive experience in environmental policy, public management, and conservation genetics. She holds a Master's degree in Public Policy with a focus on Environmental Policy & Politics, Public Management, and Governance from the University of Sydney. Additionally, she completed a Graduate Diploma in Science Communication at The Australian National University and a Bachelor's degree in Animal and Veterinary Bioscience with 1st Class Honours in Conservation Genetics from the University of Sydney.

Amelia has held various important roles in different organizations. She currently serves as a Board Director and Company Secretary at The Jane Goodall Institute Australia. Previously, she worked as a Project Manager for the Five Million Trees for Greater Sydney Program at the NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment. Prior to that, she held positions such as Associate Director at the Premier's Implementation Unit in the Department of Premier and Cabinet (NSW), Executive Officer in the Science Division at NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment, and Knowledge Strategy Officer at the same department. She also has experience working as an Education Officer at CSIRO, Communication and Outreach Officer at the Center for International Forestry Research, Communication and Liaison Officer at Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre, and Outreach Presenter at Questacon.
