Amber Barr is a 32-year-old Austin-based professional and single mother with a heart of gold. Her son Bruce, who has Beckwith Weidemann Syndrome, inspires her every day to strive for greatness. Barr has a passion for cybersecurity and the protection of people and their sensitive data. After studying Business Administration, Management and Operations at San Jacinto College and earning certifications in Apple products and medical residency subspecialties, Barr pursued a career through various temporary technical support, administrative assistant, and customer support positions. She rose up the ranks as a Sales and Technical Support agent at Apple Inc. and later worked as a Technical/Customer Support/Game Master at Blizzard Entertainment. Barr always approaches challenges positively and believes in the power of surrounding oneself with positive reinforcement. Currently serving as Vice President of a 501c)(3) nonprofit, PFPO, Barr continues to give back to her community, and remains committed to her personal and professional growth.
