With a background in Computer Science, Dr. Siraj previously served as the Founding Director of the Cybersecurity Education, Research, and Outreach Center at Tennessee Tech, bringing her expertise to the academic realm.

Her research interests span various areas within cybersecurity, including smart grid security, sensor alert fusion, security metrics, and workforce development, resulting in a significant contribution to over fifty scholarly articles.

Dr. Siraj has been instrumental in leading various projects funded by the National Science Foundation, focusing on cybersecurity programs such as 'Tennessee Cybercorps', 'Gen-Cyber Camps', and initiatives aimed at broadening women's participation in cybersecurity.

She pursued her Ph.D. in Computer Science from Mississippi State University, laying a strong foundation for her illustrious career in academia and cybersecurity leadership.

Throughout her career, Dr. Siraj has held key roles in prestigious organizations such as being a Professor at Tennessee Technological University, a Fellow at New America, and serving in various capacities as an Associate and Assistant Professor at Tennessee Tech.
