Amal Vats

Amal Vats is an investment professional who previously worked on the Investment Team at Blume Ventures, a venture capital firm in India. He joined Blume Ventures in 2021 as part of their fourth analyst cohort.1

During his time at Blume, Amal contributed to the firm's research and analysis efforts. Notably, he co-authored "The Indus Valley Report" with Sajith Pai, which examined the Indian startup ecosystem.23 This report analyzed trends in the Indian market, including the concept of "India 1, 2, and 3" to understand different consumer segments.

Prior to joining Blume Ventures, Amal worked as a strategy consultant, gaining experience in commercial due diligence and engagements across India and the Middle East.4

As of early 2024, Amal has moved on from Blume Ventures. He is currently working in the Founder's Office at Flash, a startup company.56 This transition occurred in the latter half of 2023, after spending about 2.5 years at Blume Ventures.6
