Allen Chen

Dr. Allen Chen is a highly educated professional with a diverse background in Bioengineering and Project Management.

He holds a B.S. in Bioengineering with an Undergraduate Business Minor from Rice University and a Ph.D. in Bioengineering/Biomedical Engineering from the same institution.

Additionally, Dr. Chen has participated in the International Chinese Language Program at National Taiwan University and earned a DCPM as a Duke Certified Project Management Professional from Duke University.

With a strong foundation in academia, Dr. Chen has held various positions, including Program Manager and former Biomedical Engineer/Lead Medical Device Reviewer at the FDA.

He has also contributed significantly to the academic community as a former NSF Graduate Research Fellow at Rice University and an Amgen Scholar at the University of California, Berkeley.

Dr. Chen's leadership skills are evident through his roles as Co-Founder and Operations Manager at Rice Bikes, Presentation Coach at Rice University's George R. Brown School of Engineering, and Tutoring Program Coordinator at the Houston Scholar Program.

His passion for education and engagement is demonstrated by his involvement as a Student Ambassador at Rice University's Office of Public Affairs, Undergraduate Research Fellow at The University of Texas at Austin, and Century Scholar at the Laboratory for Nanophotonics at Rice University.

As an AIMBE-FDA Scholar at the Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH) at the FDA, Dr. Chen has honed his expertise in the biomedical field and regulatory processes.

With a wealth of experience and knowledge, Dr. Chen is a multifaceted professional poised to make significant contributions in the fields of bioengineering, project management, and academia.
