Alison Webber is a dedicated professional working towards advancing equity through innovative solutions in education, digital equity, workforce development, and community initiatives. With a background in adult education, Alison has demonstrated her commitment to empowering individuals and communities to achieve their goals.
Having served as the Executive Director of the Leadership Training & Education Fund, Alison played a pivotal role in expanding the organization into the award-winning Building Skills Partnership, focusing on immigrant janitors in California. Her transition to edtech led her to co-design and grow Cell-Ed, an anytime, anywhere learning platform for adult learners. Currently, she is instrumental in leading the EdTech Center @ World Education, advocating for digital inclusion and using technology and human-centered design to enhance education, workforce development, and humanitarian efforts.
Alison's educational background includes a Master's degree in Education with a specialization in Language & Literacy instruction & Workforce Development from the University of California, Berkeley. She also holds a CELTA Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from the University of Cambridge and a BA in Cultural Anthropology and Spanish from Williams College.
In her professional journey, Alison has held key roles such as Director of Strategic Initiatives at the EdTech Center @ World Education, Executive Director at Leadership Training & Education Fund, Education Director at Cell-Ed, and Owner of Alison Ascher Webber Consulting. She has also actively contributed to organizations like the Building Skills Partnership, Silicon Valley ALLIES, and NOVA Workforce Board in various capacities.
