Alexis Sakas

Alexis Sakas is a highly experienced professional with a strong background in conservation ecology and natural infrastructure.

She holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Conservation Ecology from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor's Degree in Forestry, Fisheries, and Wildlife Sciences from The Ohio State University.

Currently, Alexis serves as the Natural Infrastructure Director at The Nature Conservancy, where she plays a crucial role in implementing conservation initiatives.

Prior to her current role, she worked as a Conservation Project Manager at The Nature Conservancy, showcasing her dedication to environmental conservation.

With previous experience as a Research Technician at the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), Alexis has honed her research skills and contributed to scientific projects.

Her academic journey includes being a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of Michigan, where she enriched her knowledge in ecology and conservation.

Alexis has also demonstrated her commitment to environmental causes by serving as an Environmental Development Promotor at the Peace Corps, making a positive impact on communities.
