Alexandra Smith

Alexandra Smith is a highly accomplished individual with an extensive educational background and a wealth of experience in various organizations. She holds an Advanced Diploma from James Madison High School, a MA in Teaching with a remarkable 3.9 GPA from The Johns Hopkins University, and a BS in International Business and Political Science from Olivet Nazarene University.

In her professional career, Alexandra has held critical roles in notable organizations. She has served as a Policy Advisor in the Mayor’s Office at the City of Baltimore, showcasing her expertise in policy development and advisory responsibilities. Previously, she excelled as the Senior Director of Youth Strategy and Partnerships in the Mayor’s Office of Criminal Justice, where she demonstrated exceptional leadership and strategic planning abilities.

Alexandra's experience includes serving as the Special Assistant to the Chief of Staff, Director of Community Engagement, and Deputy Director in the Mayor's Office at Baltimore City. Her diverse roles reflect her versatility and effectiveness in different capacities within a governmental setting.

Beyond her work in the Mayor's Office, Alexandra has made significant contributions in various other roles. She has been a Campaign Manager for Bill Ferguson for Maryland State Senate, District 46, a Political Consultant at Leadership for Educational Equity, and an Outreach Manager at Share Our Strength. Additionally, she has fulfilled responsibilities as a Regional Field Director at the Maryland Democratic Party and has been an Obama Organizing Fellow during Obama for America's campaign.

Alexandra’s early career also involved serving as an Elementary teacher in the Baltimore City Public Schools system, where her passion for education and community engagement shone through. Her commitment to public service is evident through her internship at the U.S. House of Representatives, showcasing her interest in government affairs.
