    Alexander Barder is a seasoned travel commerce professional with 18 years of industry experience. He kickstarted his career at Oxford Brookes University, earning a degree in Hotel Management. Barder began his journey with Hilton International in the UAE, focusing on sales and marketing for multiple properties in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. He later moved back to the UK to assist Hilton's London portfolio.

    Driven by a passion for travel commerce and distribution, Barder transitioned to Travelocity under Sabre Holdings in 2007. Here, he played a pivotal role in establishing a strategic accounts department to bolster hotel chain partnerships. His expertise led him to the role of Regional Destination Manager for Travelocity in the Middle East and Africa, eventually becoming the Regional Director for the Middle East, Africa, and Turkey in 2011.

    In 2015, Barder returned to the UK to join Travelport's Digital Media & Data Solutions division. Over time, he rose to lead the international sales team, focusing on hotel and car partnerships across EMEA & APAC. With a strong background in leadership, consultative selling, hotel distribution, marketing, and technology, Barder has honed his skills in diverse areas such as accountancy, business development, customer relations, negotiation, and sales management.

    Barder's skill set includes expertise in areas like contract management, market positioning, merchandising, operations management, and web production. With experience in organizations like Travelport, Travelocity, Sabre Hospitality Solutions, and Hilton Worldwide, Barder has showcased proficiency in driving business growth and excelling in various facets of the travel and hospitality industry.
