Alex Yarmula

Alex Yarmula is a well-rounded software engineer with a strong background in the full cycle of software development and operating large infrastructures. He specializes in developing large-scale back-end distributed systems and has expertise in various programming languages including C++, Java, Python, Scala, and Ruby. Additionally, he has experience in web development with JavaScript, Ruby on Rails, and jQuery. Alex is skilled in troubleshooting and administering production Linux systems, as well as working with databases, replication, x-dc, VMware vSphere, Amazon Web Services, Scalding, and Hadoop. He holds a Master's Degree from San Jose State University and a Bachelor's Degree from Odessa State Polytechnic University. Currently, Alex works as a Software Engineer at Facebook.
