Alex Traverso

Alex Traverso is an accomplished communications professional who has held numerous high-profile positions throughout his career. With a BA in English Language and Literature/Letters from the University of California, Davis, he has applied his expertise to a variety of industries, including politics and cannabis.

Traverso's career began in the California Governor's Office, where he served as Assistant Press Secretary before moving to the California Exposition & State Fair as Public Relations Manager. He then spent time in the California State Assembly as Communications Director and Deputy Press Secretary before joining the California Lottery as Assistant Deputy Director/Spokesman.

Currently, Traverso is the Chief of Communications at the Bureau of Cannabis Control, where he excels at both external and internal communications. Skilled in crisis management, media relations, and public speaking, he is equally comfortable in front of the camera as he is crafting internal communications strategies.
