Alex Blahnik is a seasoned professional with extensive expertise in coatings R&D, project management, wood products formulations, and product quality and application.

With a strong international work background, Alex has proven management abilities that, when combined with technical skills, result in successful, timely, and cost-effective project completions.

His specialties include wood coatings, formulations, management, quality control, application techniques, raw materials procurement, product consolidation, new development strategies, staffing solutions, project management, customer support, coatings systems, colors, and various types of coatings such as acid catalyzed, nitrocellulose, UV-cured, polyurethane, water-based, and unsaturated polyesters.

Alex pursued a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Chemical Engineering, complemented by a Chemical Technologist diploma in Chemistry from the College of Chemical Technology.

Throughout his career, Alex held various key positions in renowned organizations. He served as a Scientist, Associate Technical Director, Technical Manager, and Technical Director at Sherwin-Williams Industrial Wood Coatings.

His journey also led him to pivotal roles at THE VALSPAR CORPORATION and its Asia Wood Division, where he excelled as a Technical Director overseeing operations in Asia, technical support, and management.

Additionally, Alex contributed his expertise as a Group Leader, Laboratory Manager, and Product Development Manager in esteemed companies like Valspar, CHEMCRAFT SADOLIN INTERNATIONAL, and PAINTS AND VARNISHES CORPORATION.
