Alec Ellin

Alec Ellin is a seasoned CEO and business development professional, known for his leadership roles in multiple ventures in media and entertainment. He is the co-founder and CEO of Laylo, a fast-growing social media platform. Ellin received his education from esteemed institutions such as the Newhouse School at Syracuse University, Brentwood School, and Y Combinator. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Film, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Media Studies, Communication, Film, and has also studied web development and software engineering at Freecodecamp.

Before co-founding Laylo, Ellin worked with various brands like Sony Music Entertainment, Relativity Media, and Mint Group, holding roles from research analyst to accounts and receivables assistant. As a management assistant for the Velvet Hammer Music and Management Group, he was instrumental in developing relationships with various artists and managing their day-to-day operations. He also co-founded Darkchart, a social music platform for independent artists, and served as its CEO. Earlier, he had worked as a film and TV production assistant for companies like HBO and Leverage Management.

Ellin's expertise lies in business development, leadership, social media, technology, and entertainment. He has extensive experience in managing relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders, developing innovative business strategies, and driving revenue growth.
