Alda Pontes

Alda Pontes is a mission-driven technologist with a passion for data and software prototyping. She aims to split her time between freelance work and pro-bono projects, dedicating her efforts to tackling challenging issues through technology and data. Alda is currently expanding her skills and knowledge in Latin America while engaging in volunteering activities and culinary adventures with Simit Rajwadi.

Her educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Latin American Studies from Yale University, where she also excelled as a Valedictorian during her High School years at Rye High School. Alda further pursued her studies at The American School in Japan.

Professionally, Alda Pontes serves as a Machine Learning Practitioner and Software Builder at ALDASMALLTHINGS LLC. She has previously held roles as a Staff Software Engineer at Cityblock Health, Senior Data Insights Engineer at Flatiron Health, Data Analysis & Science professional at Axial, a Trader at Morgan Stanley, and as a Lead Mathematics and Economics Tutor at the Yale Science and Quantitative Reasoning Center at Yale University.
