Alastair Stokes

Alastair Stokes is a licensed architect based in Los Angeles at Gensler with a strong background in education and community projects. Before Gensler, he worked at smaller residential-focused architecture firms in New York and London, as well as completing an internship at Ateliers Jean Nouvel in Paris. His portfolio spans from working on a guest house at an arts charity in rural Sweden to designing a boarding school campus in Pasadena.

Not only has Alastair been an adjunct architecture professor at Woodbury University in Los Angeles and Princeton University in New Jersey, but he is also an education enthusiast, mentors new architects, and has served on the Education Committee and the Accreditation Review Forum 2019 Steering Committee for the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards.

As an active participant in the field, Alastair has a bachelor's degree in Architecture from The Bartlett School at University College London, where he graduated with honours, followed by a master's degree in Architecture with a certificate in Urban Policy and Planning from Princeton University.
