Alana Belle

Alana Belle serves as the Deputy Director at the Ohio Women’s Alliance, a role she has held since January 2022. Based in Columbus, Ohio, Alana is an advocate focused on removing barriers to wellness for girls, women, and femmes, particularly emphasizing the needs of Black women. Her advocacy spans various social movements, including economic justice, environmental justice, racial justice, and gender and sexuality equity. Ultimately, she found her niche in Reproductive Justice, which she describes as a framework that integrates multiple aspects of wellness, such as eradicating racism, ending gender-based violence, addressing mental health stigma, and tackling food insecurity and homelessness.13
Prior to her current position, Alana was the Georgia Program Manager for the National Domestic Workers Alliance and worked as a Patient Advocate at Preterm.3 Her commitment to reproductive rights is evident in her public statements, where she highlights the disproportionate impact of abortion access restrictions on marginalized communities.46 Alana's work with the Ohio Women’s Alliance aims to empower women and gender-expansive individuals through advocacy and community organizing.25
