Alan Hudson

Alan Hudson is a multi-faceted professional with a robust background in academia, parliamentary research, policy analysis, civil service, campaigning, and non-profit executive leadership.

His career has centered around understanding and addressing governance challenges that fuel societal issues, particularly in global southern countries, with a focus on empowering local actors to tackle these challenges effectively.

Having recently concluded his tenure with Global Integrity in Washington D.C., Alan now embarks on a freelance journey to enhance the capacity of social systems and organizations to tackle complex problems such as poverty, corruption, and public resource management using collaborative learning.

His three-pronged freelance approach involves supporting organizations in a systemic and learning-centered manner, facilitating collaborative learning on pertinent issues, and disseminating learnings to a broad audience striving to address societal challenges.

Alan's educational background includes a Ph.D. in International Political Economy from the University of Cambridge and a B.Sc. in Human Geography with First-Class Honors from the University of Bristol.

His professional experience spans roles such as Executive Director at Global Integrity, Global Policy Director at The ONE Campaign, Governance Advisor at DFID, Research Fellow at Overseas Development Institute, Parliamentary Advisor at the House of Commons, and University Lecturer at the University of Cambridge.
