Al Sharan, an industry leader in offshore software IP development, has more than 20 years of experience having acquired over 200 businesses throughout the Americas. Sharan currently serves as the Head of Technology Consulting Services at Newgen Engineering Services, a public limited company in India with an annual revenue of $110 million. Sharan is responsible for generating over 10,000 billable man-years of time and material jobs throughout his 18 years of experience in software development, mostly in areas such as real-time eCommerce fraud detection, anti-money laundering, blockchain, cloud-enabled marketing, machine learning, and deep learning.

Sharan has been with Newgen since 2006, during which he founded and built the company's offshore software IP development division. He also created and built the Newgen R&D lab focusing on developing new technology products while also advising software product companies on their strategic growth plans. Sharan is also responsible for developing the Newgen Product Engineering division to reach an annual topline revenue of $15 million.

Newgen Technology Labs specializes in offshore projects related to real-time eCommerce fraud detection, anti-money laundering, blockchain, cloud-enabled marketing, machine learning, and deep learning. As a consulting idea lab, Newgen produces new product ideas for startups, enabling them to create innovative global technology companies that leverage Newgen's expertise in user interface design and development, augmented reality/gaming, stream analytics, cyber security, HIPAA, and serverless architecture.

Sharan holds a post-graduate degree in International Business from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta. Before joining Newgen, he worked in various positions across different software development companies. He has been the COO at Systems America Inc, VP Sales at Chrysallis Information Systems, AGM Sales at Espire infolabs, and Sr Consultant at Bhilwara Infotechnology Ltd.
