Al Gever is an accomplished Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with a wide-ranging background that includes successful financial and operational management of private, private-equity, and publicly-owned structures. His multifaceted expertise includes managing finance, HR, and IT processes for start-ups, mid-sized businesses, and large corporations. He has spearheaded initiatives saving over $160 million annually in strategic procurement, productivity improvements, and supply re-negotiations. Gever served as CFO for several companies, including Green Peak Innovations, Spice Chain Inc., Vitalicious, and Twinlab Consolidation Corporation (TCC), where he was also Chief Operating Officer. He has been a stand-alone Chief Financial Officer for 15 years and earned his BS in Business Administration from Seton Hall University.
Gever's ability to improve business processes, establish financial capabilities, lead M&A activity, and enhance key initiatives with IT, Investor Relations, and HR has made him a sought-after executive. As President of Green Peak Innovations, a cannabis company, he led the organization as they transformed into a $100 million multi-state operation. Gever's corporate leadership roles include Head of Global Procurement and Vice President & General Manager of Nabisco Refrigerated Products Group, Vice President of Nabisco, and Divisional and Corporate Financial Roles and Responsibilities at Nabisco. He reduced costs more than 15% for multiple companies while spearheading productivity initiatives, and he successfully sold a division of Nabisco to ConAgra at a price that exceeded expectations.
Some of the notable achievements in Gever's career include growing profits by 18% on sales growth of 4% in three years as CFO for a newly public-company with $300 million in sales. He led M&A activity and two debt re-financings. As CFO for a private-equity backed rollup with sales of $200 million, he reorganized financials, outsourced payroll, divested an underperforming business unit, reduced debt, and substantially lowered costs by 24% annually. As Corporate Head of Global Procurement, he managed $4.5 billion in annual purchases and delivered $750 million in annual savings through strategic sourcing initiatives.
