Ahmad Almahdi's educational background includes a Postgraduate Diploma in Continuous Quality Improvement and Patient Safety from Joint Commission International (JCI), an MSc in Health Informatics with distinction from the University of Otago, a Postgraduate Diploma in Health Informatics from the same institution, and a BSc in Medicine and Allied Sciences from Jamiat Al-Malik Abdulaziz.
He has been actively involved as a Volunteer Promoter in the Saudi Arabia Vision 2030 Healthcare Quality of Life Program in 2020. In his previous roles, Ahmad has contributed to various organizations including the Saudi Ministry of Defense, King Fahad Military Hospital, King Abdulaziz Medical Services Department, Alhada Military Hospital, King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center, and King Khalid Specialist Hospital.
Among his roles, Ahmad has served as a Health Educator, Disaster Control Specialist, Coordinator for Infection Prevention and Control Committees, President & Co-Founder of the Saudi Students Club in New Zealand, and as a Senior Health Informatics, Quality & Safety Specialist. He has also been involved in coaching in Continuous Quality Improvement, Health & Safety, and Informatics.
