Adam Gulamhusein is a motivated and inquisitive 17-year-old student hailing from Calgary, Canada. His passion lies in exploring innovative approaches to tackling addiction through cutting-edge technologies like Brain-Computer Interfaces, Connectomics, and Optogenetics.
With a keen interest in revolutionizing addiction treatment, Adam has delved into research in these advanced fields, aiming to enhance current methodologies. He has previously assisted a neurosurgeon, which has provided him with valuable insights into the limitations of existing technologies in addressing addiction and other related disorders.
In addition to his academic pursuits, Adam has a background in hockey, having actively played the sport for a decade. Currently enrolled as a student at TKS, Adam is dedicated to expanding his knowledge and skills in various domains.
Adam's educational journey includes attending Connect Charter School for grades 7-9, followed by Robert Thirsk High School for grades 10-12. He further pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the University of Calgary.
Adam has contributed his expertise as an instructor at Mathnasium - The Math Learning Center and has previously been associated with The Knowledge Society (TKS) as an Innovater. Moreover, he has gained valuable experience as a Neurosurgical Associate at the University of Calgary.
