Adam Bernstein
Teacher at The Island School
Adam Bernstein is the Dean of Faculty and Literature teacher at The Island School in The Bahamas.12 He grew up in Baltimore, MD and was a student at McDonogh School and the University of Virginia, where he studied anthropology and global sustainability.1 Adam joined The Island School community as a CEIS intern in 2015 and later rejoined in June 2019.1

Before his current position, Adam worked for a global forestry consulting firm based in Washington, D.C.1 He has experience studying and working on environmental issues in various locations, including Hawaii, New Zealand, the South Pacific, the Spanish Basque Country, and the Caribbean.1
In addition to his teaching duties, Adam is a certified meditation teacher and enjoys surfing, freediving, improving his Spanish, and playing music in his free time.1
