1) Organization Creation - Led the development of LiveKC's ongoing mission / vision / strategy and tactics. Fundraised from CEO's of area corporations over the course of 3 funding cycles. 

2) Organization Management - operated LiveKC with financial efficiency developing annual budgets and fundraising targets to achieve our strategic plan. Developed strategic relationships and partnerships with other organizations / sponsors in town to ensure greater impact.

3) Tactical Execution - Built KC young professional community through activities ranging from large parties to place making to civic engagement. Grew social following across platforms to more than 20K users and developed the LiveKC application as a digital platform that can eventually help sustain LiveKC through monetization.

Sprint Accelerator is a space located in the heart of America's Creative Crossroads, dedicated to the entrepreneurial community of Kansas City.  The building is home to co-working/collision space, community education and the Mobile Health Accelerator powered by Techstars.

My primary objective was to pair up the resources of Sprint with resourceful entrepreneurs and innovators across the country.

1) Program Creation - Developed vision / mission / strategy and tactics for Sprint's investment in building a space in the Crossroads Arts District. Led a cross functional team to get the space up and running in less than a year.

2) Program Leadership - Negotiated partnership with Techstars to bring their world class accelerator program to Kansas City. Evaluated 300+ companies from across the globe and helped in the selection of the final 10 participants. During the program I served as a mentor and resource to the companies in product development, growth and fundraising. 

3) Building Utilization - In addition to Techstars, I assured the building was fully utilized and at maximum capacity over the course of the year. Forming relationships in the community and the broader Sprint organization we ran innovation programs, tech meet-ups and a co-working space.

General Manager of the Sprint Accelerator

Lead a team of mobile experts in key service areas to drive adoption of priority services and applications in line with the needs of our business

1) Collect insight from our customers and the collective industry on applications and services, maintain expertise in the apps and services industry

2) Prioritize services based on alignment to brand strategy and relation to how they drive purchase intent, reduce churn or drive incremental revenue

3) Develop market sizing and business case for prioritized services, socialize and get collective agreement to move forward

4) Work with product to assist in requirements for development and commercialize/launch the service across multiple channels within Sprint (retail, sprint.com, direct mail, online, mobile assets, print, TV and more)

5) Evaluate customer usage and behavior, direct feedback into the process

Manager of Product Marketing, Apps and Services

While the specifics of my role have changed over the years, I haven't been far removed from understanding mobile device functionality.  I've watched the mobile industry move from a handful of "carrier branded" mobile applications and WAP sites to the hundreds of thousands of highly functional apps that exist today.  My primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:

1) understanding the marketplace and more specifically, our target market/base customer as they interact with their phone and slowly work up an appetite for more and more stuff they can do with it.

2) communicating these needs to product/business development managers to ensure we have the right capabilities and hardware specs on our road map.

3) work back with my marketing peers so they understand the value proposition of the capabilities on our road map so they can effectively communicate those to the marketplace in combination with the core benefits of the Sprint network

It's a great place to be and will continue developing as customers slowly figure out all of the cool stuff they can do with the phone/other connected devices that will always have within an arm's reach!

Product Marketing Manager

I represented Sprint for some of our indirect accounts that sell Sprint phones in the Kansas City market.  This included Radio Shack, Sam's Club, Best Buy, and others.  My responsibilities ranged from education and training of the 3rd party sales associates, creative marketing and incentives to drive sales and sales/service support for our products.

Indirect Account Executive

Responsible for a monthly quota attainment based on multiple key performance indicators including:  New Activations, Monthly Recurring Attachables, Long Distance Subscriptions and Customer Satisfaction.  As a Sr. Rep I was also responsible for daily operations of the store and took on opening and closing shifts as a part of management.
