Philip Dearing is dedicated to dismantling inequitable talent pipelines in the social sector by addressing disparities in leadership demographics and opportunities.

With over four years of experience at Bridgespan, he has been involved in supporting the flow of hundreds of millions of dollars into social change initiatives.

Recognizing the underrepresentation of voices with lived experiences in the sector's leadership, Philip founded Second Day to revolutionize pathways into entry-level roles within the social sector.

Second Day collaborates with numerous organizations to challenge current practices like unpaid internships and biased recruitment models that hinder equitable access to high-quality positions.

Philip Dearing is open to partnerships and invites organizations, schools, and individuals across the sector to join the mission of creating a more inclusive and diverse social sector.

He holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Economy from Georgetown University and has served in various roles including Interim Chief of Staff at College Bound Dorchester and Associate Consultant at The Bridgespan Group.
