Jalak Jobanputra is a seasoned venture capitalist who has been investing in bitcoin and blockchain technology since 2013. With over 20 years of experience in digital media, enterprise software, healthcare IT, mobile & internet, she has invested in notable companies such as Blockstream, Abra, Polkadot, and The Graph. In 2014, Jalak founded Future Perfect Ventures, a seed-stage venture capital firm based in New York City. Before that, she played an integral role in creating NYCSeed, a seed fund for startups in New York City. Jalak has a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Finance, a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, and a Masters of Business Administration in Marketing and Entrepreneurship. She has spoken at numerous conferences, including Bloomberg Invest, The Milken Global Institute, and TechCrunch Disrupt, where she has shared her insights on venture capital, women's entrepreneurship, and startups. In addition to her work in the business world, Jalak has served on the board of directors for Achievement First Bushwick Charter Schools and is a mentor for the Unreasonable Institute.
