Francis X. Suarez is a well-accomplished attorney, entrepreneur, and politician, currently serving as the 33rd Mayor of the City of Miami, with a focus on elevating the quality of life for its residents. As the first Miami-born mayor, his commitment to public service began at an early age, growing up around his father's office at City Hall. He earned a bachelor's degree in finance, graduating in the top 10% of his class from Florida International University and went on to earn his law degree cum laude from the University of Florida Frederic G. Levin College of Law. Prior to being elected as mayor, Suarez served as Miami Commissioner for District 4 for eight years. His drive and skills are dedicated to transportation and connectivity, resiliency, job creation, affordable housing, poverty reduction, and crime prevention. Suarez is married to Gloria Fonts Suarez, and they are proud to be raising their family in the City of Miami.
